Suggested lead: Farm owners seeking ways to reach consumers or ways to add value to their operation can look to the agrotourism industry as on opportunity. Agrotourism, defined as activities that include visiting a working farm to enjoy the rural setting and to be educated, is worth an estimated $759 billion, according to the U.S. Travel Association.
